Theater

Excellent adventure — The Black Box Theatre will present the Landless Theatre Company’s production of ‘‘The Brothers Grimm Excellent Adventure” at 3 p.m. May 10 and 24 at the theater in Indian Head Center for the Arts. Twice the music — The Patuxent Voices women’s a cappella chorus will perform at 7:30 p.m. May 10 at Middleham & St. Peter’s Parish great hall on Route 765 in Lusby and at 3 p.m. May 11 at Trinity Chapel in St. Mary’s City, Route 5. Special events

Wine and arts – Calvert County artisans will be featured at the Calvert Wine and Arts Fest from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. May 10 at All Saints Episcopal Church on Route 4 in Sunderland. Pottery, jewelry, fiber art, painting, wood carving, sculpting, basketry and rug-making artists from Southern Maryland will be participating and Calvert County’s four wineries — Solomons Island, Perigeaux, Friday’s Creek and Cove Point— will be included. Guests wishing to taste the wines will receive a commemorative wine glass for $10. There will also be strolling musicians, Maypole and other dancers, a magician and children’s activities. Tours will be available of the 1692 church and its labyrinth. Call 410-286-7586. Mother’s Day cruises – Sail May 11 aboard the historic bugeye W.B. Tennison from the pier at Calvert Marine Museum. The brunch cruise will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The evening cruise will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $16 for children younger than 16.
