Chesapeake Beach Water Park opening delayed

The water park in Chesapeake Beach will not be ready to open this weekend as planned, but will be ready to open Memorial Day weekend with the newly renovated bathhouse.
The hours of operation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week until Labor Day, and then it will close at 6 p.m.
Chesapeake Beach residents will again have discounted rates, with daily rates of $9 for children under 4 feet tall and seniors and $10 for those over 4 feet tall. Season passes will be $90 for children under 4 feet and seniors, and over 4 feet will be charged $120.
Calvert resident daily rates this season will be $10 for seniors and children under 4 feet, and $12 for those over 4 feet in height. There is no charge for two years of age and under. Season passes are $120 for seniors and children under 4 feet, and $150 for anyone over 4 feet.
Every Tuesday, grandparents will receive a free pass with paid grandchildren, and fathers will get in free for Father’s Day on June 15.
General admission for a daily pass will be $16 for children less than 4 feet tall and seniors and $18 for those more than 4 feet tall.
Lesser twilight rates are available from 4 to 7 p.m., but not on weekends or holidays. Group rates are also available.
