Increasing the tax rate would be ÔridiculousÕ

I am against the real property tax increase. It is shameful to ask for more funds from taxpayers who are so stretched already.
Recently you have increased my home property value with a formula based on forecasted increases in market value trends. Now that we have a real estate downturn (not an increase as forecasted), I see no tax adjustments to account for this market value decrease.
Now you want to increase the tax rate. This is ridiculous.
Please note: I appealed the decision then to the Charles County assessor and lost due to the fact that the county was using an approved formula. To make a change to my increase assessment I would need to change the legal process. This is ridiculous.
I am ashamed to see how our county government balances its books, by increasing taxes, increasing fees and increasing property values.
We need to have commissioners who are educated in knowing how to run a county within budget guidelines. We need commissioners who are in touch with their citizens.
I am a voter and I do vote in regards to who represents me and my neighbors the best.
Please do not raise my taxes anymore than they are already. Charles County is the fifth highest in property tax rates in the state of Maryland.
