The man accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met through a Craigslist erotic services advertisement is facing 12 additional charges after a Charles County grand jury indicted him last week.

Kelvin Cousar, 36, a Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority worker living in District Heights, reportedly solicited the victim to provide erotic services and met her on April 12 at the Master Suites Hotel in Waldorf, court records show.

Craigslist no longer has a category for erotic services advertisements.

The victim later told police that Cousar was polite during their encounter and that she agreed to have intercourse with him after his paid session of massage and sexual contact short of intercourse. However, at some point, Cousar pulled out a handgun, put it into her mouth and ordered her to perform a sex act, the record indicates. She complied, and he continued to make bizarre demands, according to the report.

Cousar eventually left the hotel room, but took the money he paid the victim for the erotic services, court documents indicate.

The victim contacted police and reported the assault. The woman said she knew her assailant only as "Trevon," but she also gave them his physical description and a cell phone number that he allegedly used, according to police.

Sheriff's officers worked with detectives from Prince George's County, where a similar assault had occurred, and found that the phone number provided by the victim was used by Cousar, court documents state.

Cousar was initially charged with 12 counts, including first-degree sex offense, armed robbery and first-degree assault. Since his indictment, he faces 24 counts total with four counts of first-degree sex offense, four counts of second-degree sex offense by force, six counts of handgun use in commission of a felony or violent crime, unnatural or perverted practice, third-degree sex offense, first-degree assault, armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault, theft of less than $500, reckless endangerment, wearing, carrying and transporting a handgun and wearing, carrying and transporting a handgun in a vehicle on public roads.

Detectives believe Cousar may be responsible for additional, sexual assaults, but no other victims have come forward since his arrest, according to Diane Richardson, police spokeswoman.

His arraignment is scheduled for June 16, and he is being held in jail with no bond, according to court records.

Attempts to contact Cousar's wife were unsuccessful.

Attorney John Pikulski, who represented Cousar when his case was still in district court, said he can't comment on how the matter will likely proceed.
