Investigators from the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office determined that a fire at a vacant St. Leonard home was intentionally set.

On June 16 shortly before 8:30 p.m., 30 firefighters responded to a fire at the single family home at 5055 St. Leonard Road and extinguished the fire in 15 minutes, according to a report filed by Deputy Fire Marshal Don Brenneman. The house sustained an estimated $50,000 in damage.

Officials are continuing their investigation to identify the owners and three people seen leaving the house prior to the fire being discovered. Anyone with information is asked to contact the fire marshal's office at 443-550-6820.
