Environmental business rep joins SMBN
Rebecca Brown of ABB Environmental Services has recently joined the Southern Maryland Business Network.
ABB Environmental Services provides environmental inspection, testing and remediation services.
The firm is certified by the Maryland Department of the Environment to do lead-based paint risk assessments, water damage inspections and corrections, mold detection and remediation and air-quality testing for mold, bacteria, volatile organic compounds and allergens, according to a press release. It is also a provider of IQAir cleaners.
ABB Environmental Services is also a member of American Industrial Hygiene Association, and is certified by the Indoor Air Quality Association, Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, American Medical Association and EMSL Analytical Inc., and is licensed with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission.
New regional rep announcedfor micro-business group
The National Association for the Self-Employed has announced that Paula L. Simmons is its new membership representative in the Southern Maryland area.
NASE was formed in 1981 by a group of micro-business owners seeking the kinds of benefits and services typically available to large corporations. NASE assembles a range of benefits to help entrepreneurs succeed, according to a press release.
Chamber to hold new member orientation
The Charles County Chamber of Commerce will hold its next new member orientation and networking breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. June 27.
The breakfast will be sponsored by Civista Health and will be held at the chamber office at 101 Centennial St., Suite A in La Plata. Invited new members are free, members pay $15 and nonmembers pay $25 per person.
