African American Family Day
Organized by the Calvert County branch of the NAACP, African American Family Day will be from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. June 21 at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum.
The theme is ‘‘Celebrating a Patchwork of Cultures.” The event will feature children’s activities, a moonbounce, food, a fashion show and Christian comedian Sean Sarvis. Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Orioles will headline the event.

Wild about art
The second annual Potomac Wildlife Art Show and Auction will be from 6:30-10:30 p.m. June 20 at the Jaycees center, 3090 Crain Highway, Waldorf. The proceeds from this event will support the Community Foundation of Charles County and its grant-making fund. Ticket are $75. The event includes hors d’oeuvres, live music, open bar and the opportunity to win weekend getaways and sports packages. Artists include Robert Bealle and Francis Edward Sweet. Call 301-885-0108. Reggie Rice
Illusionist, Reggie Rice, known as the ‘‘Super Magic Man,” will continue with his three-week, three-county tour at 7:30 p.m. June 20 at Port Tobacco Players Theatre, 508 E. Charles St., La Plata. According to a press release, Rice recently won the Winston Carroll Award as best comedy magician in Washington, D.C. He is known for his family-friendly humor. Tickets are $10. Call 240-298-6077.
