Briefing on special operations planned

Retired Navy Capts. Steve Gilmore and Daniel Steward, assigned as special assistants to the commander of the Naval Special Warfare Command, will present a combined unclassified briefing Wednesday, July 8, regarding naval special warfare and the involvement of the Navy's special operators – Sea-Air-Land (SEALs) and Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCCs).
The free program is open to the public and will be held at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center on Airport Road in California. There will be a 7 a.m. check-in and social time with coffee and breakfast snacks, followed by the program from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Advance registration is requested by going to www.paxpartnership.org.
