Pearl Mary Moran, 71, Great Mills

She was born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, on Oct. 16, 1937, as Pearl Mary O'Kane.

She married Florant O. Moran (retired from the U.S. Navy) on Jan. 21, 1956, in Aldershot, England. They moved to the United States, where she was a caring, loving wife and mother. She was employed at Burch Oil Company for 31 years and was a loyal and dedicated employee. She loved her co-workers, working in the gas booth in Mechanicsville and enjoyed greeting customers with a smile and a "good morning."

She also enjoyed watching old movies and sitcoms, whether they brought tears to her eyes or laughter to her heart.

She is survived by her husband, Florant O. Moran of Hollywood; her sons, Steven F. Moran and wife, Jeannie, of Hollywood and Gerald E. Moran and fiancee, Mindy Rorabacher, of Valley Lee.

The family will receive friends today, July 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lexington Park. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown.
