Mary Inez Thompson, 81, La Plata

Born May 18, 1928, in Faulkner, she was the daughter of the late Bena Swann and the late Lee Thompson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Buddy Thompson; daughter, Earlene Thompson; sons, David, Barry and Francis Thompson; sisters, Ethel Wallace and Louise Swann; and brothers-in-law, Leo Proctor and Johnson Wallace.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn and her husband, Irvin Johnson, Michelle and her husband, Russell Thomas, Belinda Thompson and Christine Thompson; sons, Ernest and his wife, Sherri Thompson, Hugh and his wife, Susie Thompson, Clifton Thompson and his wife, Joyce Tolson and Randy and his wife, Darlene Thompson; sisters, Ellen Proctor and Doris and her husband, Paul Proctor; brothers, James W. and his wife, Doris Thompson, John A. and his wife, Jean Thompson, Lawrence and his wife, Jackie Thompson; brother-in-law, Lawrence Swann; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation and Mass were held June 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. The Rev. Ron Potts officiated. Burial took place at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Richardson, Randy Thompson Jr., Curtis Thompson, Eugene Thompson, Steve Thompson and Jerrell Thomas.

Arrangements were handled by Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata.
