Shelby Quade, 57, of Waldorf died June 29, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.
She was a homemaker. She was devoted to her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City, N.J., and Dover, Del. She loved cooking for her family.
Born Nov. 5, 1951, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Russell Franklin Knicely and the late Ruth Virginia Kirby.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Quade; children, Joseph Raymond Quade Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, Michael Lee Quade and his wife, Seanna and Tammy Renee Melvin and her husband, Jason; sister, Judy Tapley of Georgia; brothers-in-law and spouses, Johnny Quade, Ricky and his wife, Barbara Quade, Francis Murphy and his wife, Grace Ann, Jimmy and his wife, Mamie Moreland, Mike and his wife, Marie Horrell and Gene and his wife, Mae Williams; grandchildren, Christopher Raymond Quade, Timothy Raymond Quade, Olivia Ashley Quade, Alexis Isabelle Quade and Christopher Smallwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with prayers was July 2 at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. July 3. Deacon John Barnes will officiate. Burial will take place at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf.
Pallbearers will be Mike Horrell, Jimmy Moreland Sr., Ted Brown, Jimmy Moreland Jr., Gary Moorman and Francis Murphy.
