Southern Maryland Hospital Center was honored with GE Water & Process Technologies’ Return on Environment Award.
The hospital was recognized for its environmental leadership, which reduced its fresh water use by more than 16 million gallons per year while simultaneously improving the hospital’s operational costs by $80,000 per year, according to a hospital press release.
