The offices of Charles County government, animal shelter, landfill and composting facility off Billingsley Road in Waldorf and Pisgah recycling center will be closed July 4. Those receiving Friday collection service on the ‘‘A” schedule will have recyclables picked up July 5. Call 301-932-3599.

La Plata Town Hall is closed in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. Water and sewer emergencies can be reported by calling 301-934-8421 and following the instructions to report an emergency.

Charles County Board of Zoning and Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. July 8 in the county government building, La Plata. Items on the agenda include a request by Evangelical Lutheran Church in Indian Head for a variance to put an addition on the building. Call 301-645-0540.
