Randy Barrett Trio will perform a bluegrass concert at 8 p.m. July 11 at Hard Bargain Farm. Upcoming concerts include a jazz and blues concert by Mac Walter, Wolf and Barbara Martin at 7 p.m. Aug. 23 and a contemporary folk concert by Grace Griffith and Lynn Hollyfield at 8 p.m. Sept. 12. Patriot's Day

Independence Day celebrations continue from 1-5 p.m. July 12 at Chapman State Park. Park ranger Scott Hill will do a first-person narrative about Thomas Stone, and the Port Tobacco Players Encore Kids will perform patriotic music at 2:45 p.m. A nature walk will be held at 3:30 p.m. The park is at 3452 Ferry Place, Indian Head.
