Indictments

A Charles County grand jury issued the following indictments:
Janeal Jerome Thompson, 17, of Bryans Road was charged as an adult with possession of a regulated firearm and ammunition by a person younger than 21, wearing, carrying and transporting a handgun and wearing, carrying and transporting a handgun in a vehicle for events that occurred July 30.
John Eugene Smith, 48, of Savage was charged with attempted theft of more than $500 for events that occurred May 25.
Andrew William Sloop, 22, of Marbury was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property valued at less than $500 for events that occurred Aug. 13.
Kevin Wayne Mullins, 20, of White Plains was charged with first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, theft of less than $500 and conspiracy to commit theft of less than $500 for events that occurred Aug. 19.
Gregory Darnell Marshall, 51, currently residing in the Charles County jail, was charged with narcotics possession with intent to distribute, two counts of drug possession, possession of narcotics production equipment and drug possession with intent to distribute for events that occurred Aug. 21.
Shaquone Anthony Johnson, 20, of Waldorf was charged with narcotics possession with intent to distribute, two counts of drug possession, second-degree assault and two counts of malicious destruction of property valued at more than $500 for events that occurred Aug. 15.
