The 63rd Annual St. Mary's County Fair was held Sept. 24 to 27. From top, with livestock showing and auctions behind them, 4-Hers Brice Hurry, Jason Fore, Zach Zyla, John Fore, Jacob Zyla and Andrea McCloskey get a chance to horse around with an idle wheelbarrow on Sunday. Ryan Reintzell, 3, of Loveville enjoys a lollipop as he watches the fire trucks during the fair parade on Saturday. Lt.Cmdr. Joel Doane, right, of Patuxent River Naval Air Station makes sure he places the tiara just right on the head of 2009 Queen of Tolerance Shannon Slaughter, center, as former queen Rachel Mae Fiske looks on. Just above, Brice Trossbach, 11, of Leonardtown catches up on some sleep inside the steer barn Friday night. Left, T.J. Cusic, 11, of Clements spends time with his cow, Meatballs, after brushing him in preparation for showing. Lindsey Wood of Hollywood gets a nudge from her 1,480-pound steer, Yogi, during livestock showing on Friday. Carnival technician/helper Thomas Fletcher Jr. of Baltimore mans the Orbiter on Friday.
