The following items were compiled from reports from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.

Chesapeake Beach

Dfc. Christopher Childress responded to a theft report on Sept. 29 at a home on C Street in Chesapeake Beach. Someone stole a dual-tandem kayak, worth $600, while it was padlocked at the public beach area in a wooden rack. Anyone with information is asked to contact Childress at 410-535-2800.

Lusby

On Oct. 1 at 2:10 a.m., Deputy Moises Velasquez stopped a vehicle in the area of Route 4 and Nursery Road. The driver, later identified as Laura Ann Kelly, 24, of St. Leonard was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia, a clear straw that had been cut and a cut-off hose clamp and a small Zip-lock bag with trace amounts of white residue. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Owings

Deputy Roscoe Kreps stopped a vehicle in the area of Route 4 northbound near the Calvert⁄Anne Arundel county line on Sept. 29 at 11:38 p.m. The driver, later identified as Joseph Edward Proctor, 20, of Upper Marlboro was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a White Owl cigar tube, used to smoke drugs.
