Burglary suspect jailed
A judge has ordered that Justin A. Parker, 20, of Great Mills remain in jail in lieu of $100,000 bond on charging papers alleging he broke into a neighbor's apartment last week after stealing a car in Lexington Park.
Police found the Honda Accord lying overtop a guardrail last Wednesday near an intersection along Flat Iron Road, court papers state, and Parker was apprehended after he was spotted climbing over the guardrail.
The car had been reported stolen the day before, and court papers state that police found its ignition system torn from the steering column, and three video-game consoles in the back seat. Parker was charged with stealing Alester Johnson's car, breaking into Joseph Milburn's home on Guenther Drive, stealing Milburn's television and other property including $1,500, and stealing the three PlayStation 2 consoles that were stored for John Barnes at the residence.
In addition, Parker was charged with stealing Stephanie Cutchember's purse earlier Wednesday at the parking lot of Fox Chase apartments.
Cutchember told police that she gave the suspect a ride to that neighborhood, and that he grabbed the purse as she dropped him off, according to charging papers from the investigation by St. Mary's sheriff's deputies Cpl. Brian Connelly and Matthew Rogers.
Arson threat alleged
Keith Raymond Savoy, 24, of Park Hall was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond after his arrest on charges of committing a second-degree assault on a woman last Thursday at her Scotland home and threatening to burn the residence.
Sandra Dee Torres told police that the suspect punched her in the face, pulled her hair and burned her neck with a lit cigarette as she got into her car after an argument, according to charging papers.
Police went to the residence, where court papers allege that Savoy threatened to burn the place to the ground during a confrontation with two other people living there, William Harold Frampton and Torres' aunt Judy Lynn Torres.
St. Mary's sheriff's deputy Michael Boyer found the suspect in the cabin of a boat behind the house, court papers state. The suspect denied burning Sandra Torres with a cigarette.
Assault suspect released
Brian Egan Dalsey, 47, of Hollywood has been released on $50,000 bond from his arrest on two charges of first-degree assault in court papers alleging he fired a pistol last week from his pier and threatened two boaters.
Dalsey fired a round that entered the Patuxent River about 20 feet from his pier last Thursday morning, as John Linwood Trossbach Jr. and Nicholas Steven Clarke were in a boat between 500 and 1,000 yards from shore, St. Mary's detective Fred Dolinger wrote in a charges application.
Trossbach and Clarke traveled farther from Dalsey after he yelled at them to get away from his property, according to charging papers alleging Dalsey got into a boat to catch up to them, pointed a pistol at them and said, "I won't wait for the police to come, I can pick both of you off from my house with a high power gun."
St. Mary's detectives report that Dalsey was arrested Thursday night at his residence.
Lexington Park woman charged with employee theft
Rynica Nashay Dickerson, 22, of Lexington Park was released on personal recognizance after her arrest last week on theft charges in court papers alleging she stole $1,610 while working at the Target store in California.
Charging papers allege that the suspect was spotted taking money from her register, and that an assets protection employee "further advised the defendant had been under investigation for taking money from the cash registers she was assigned to since her date of hire [in] September."
The suspect told police that "she began taking money after learning of a possible eviction from her residence," according to charging papers filed by sheriff's deputy Jason Maletto.
