Teen dies in crash on Billingsley Road

Police said Noel Patrick Reynolds, 16, was driving a 2006 Suzuki Forenza sedan east on Billingsley Road near Hanson Road at 11:43 a.m. Oct. 27 when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. Reynolds was taken to Civista Medical Center in La Plata where he was pronounced dead.

Speed, the wet roadway and driver inexperience were factors in the crash, police said.

Reynolds was wearing a seat belt.

Part of Billingsley Road was closed for about two hours while police investigated the crash.
