Burglary suspect jailed

A judge ordered Wednesday that Darien Marcel Bush, 22, of Hollywood remain jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond on charging papers alleging he broke into a family entertainment center in Leonardtown last month and stole $3,400. Bush was charged with theft and second-degree burglary from the Oct. 22 incident at the One Stop Adventure Center on Gregory Drive, on a charges application filed by detective M.R. Grimes of the St. Mary's Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

Suspect charged in speedway burglary

Walter A. Glista, 30, of La Plata was jailed this week in lieu of $10,000 bond on charging papers alleging he broke into a storage building on Sept. 30 at Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek and stole a Yamaha public-address amplifier. A Yamaha amplifier later was pawned at a Charles County pawn shop, court papers state, prompting a review by St. Mary's detectives of the shop's surveillance video that showed Glista and two other people visiting the business. A representative of the speedway went to the pawn shop and identified the amplifier as the stolen item, according to court papers filed by Trooper R.B. Rezza of the Maryland State Police.

Thompson was charged with third-degree burglary and destroying a window at the home of Joseph Clifton Bailey III on Saratoga Drive, through the investigation by St. Mary's sheriff's deputy Kevin Meyer.

Rainford R. Rhamdeow, 46, of Lexington Park was released Thursday on personal recognizance after his arrest on a charge of second-degree child abuse in court papers alleging he struck a child on the arm the day before with a belt. The suspect also was charged with a second-degree assault on the girl, through the investigation by St. Mary's detective Vyvyan Walker.
