Louis Vest, 76, Waldorf

Louis Vest, 76, of Waldorf died Nov. 4, 2009, at home.

He was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Floyd, Va., the son of Harley Vest and Irene Yates Vest.

He was the founder and previous owner of Raye Vest Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sons, Douglas Vest and Mark Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Vest; his children, Lewis R. Vest Jr. (Diane), Virginia Hintze (Alan), Julie Vance (Gary), Raymond Vest and Jennifer Adell; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Nov. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf. A service will be held Monday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Waldorf. Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
