Police were called out on two reports of gunshots fired early Sunday morning, with one shot entering a house, but no one was reported injured.
Members of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office were called to a home at about 2 a.m. on Broomes Island Road for the report of multiple shots fired. The homeowner told police that he heard multiple gunshots being fired and one entered the home and lodged in the refrigerator, a sheriff's office press release stated. No one was injured.
Then at 3:17 a.m. on Sunday, members of the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack and the Calvert County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Cody Trail in Lusby for a report of gunshots heard. The release said that it appeared the shots were fired into the surrounding wooded area, and again no one was injured.
"We have some leads, but we need some phone calls on that," Lt. Steve Jones said, asking for the public's assistance.
