8 from St. Mary's to play in Macy's parade

Eight students who graduated from St. Mary's County public high schools will be participating in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as part of the Towson University Marching Band.

Leonardtown High School graduates from the class of 2008 are Lindsey R. Barr on the marimba; Joseph V. Rongione on the bass drum; and Lise M. Sanchez in the color guard. Graduates from Great Mills High School are Raimond C. Galicia, class of 2008 on the sousaphone; Matthew C. Pearson, class of 2008 on tenor; Matthew Holtzem, class of 2009 on the baritone; and Christopher Holtzem, class of 2005 on the snare drum.

Also performing in the Towson band color guard is Katherine L. Hosier of Chopticon High School's class of 2007.
