Shop with a Cop asks for donations

The Charles County Sheriff's Office and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 24 will be sponsoring "Shop with a Cop," where children will be paired with local police officers and taken to the Wal-Mart in Waldorf where they will be allowed to shop for their gifts, on Dec. 6.
The children also have lunch with the officers at Middleton Hall where the gifts will be wrapped by volunteers.
The sheriff's office and FOP are still seeking tax-deductible donations for the program. Make checks payable to FOP 24, and in the notes section write "Shop with a Cop." The checks can be dropped off at any of the sheriff's stations or can be mailed to P.O. Box 1927, La Plata, MD 20646.
