Marijuana discovered during traffic stop
A Waldorf man allegedly found with a bag of marijuana was arrested in St. Mary's County on Dec. 13, according to state police.
At 1:33 a.m., trooper M. J. Pitcher stopped a green Mazda on Solomons Island Road after the car crossed a double yellow line, police reported.
The state trooper noticed the smell of marijuana while speaking with the driver, Jason Harley Royster, 21, of Waldorf, according to the report. Royster had a clear plastic baggie of marijuana and was arrested and taken to the St. Mary's County jail, where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the district court commissioner, police reported.
Hughesville woman arrested
Police arrested a Hughesville woman Dec. 13 on a bench warrant for not paying $250 by Sept. 21, according to a report.
The original charge against Mandy Lee Echoff, 28, was driving while intoxicated.
Trooper J.S. Gibson arrested Echoff at 5:17 p.m. at her Hughesville home and took her to the St. Mary's County jail, where she was held pending a bond review with the district court commissioner.
