Pop-soul songwriter and bassist Eric Scott, with special guest Mike Mead, will perform at 9 p.m. Dec. 24 in the barroom at Boston's.

In 2007, Scott released his third CD, "Red," and is currently writing new music for a fourth album. Now a solo artist, Scott, of North Beach, played with renowned R&B musician Deanna Bogart and, before that, Southern Maryland variety band Midnight Special and hard rock cover band Arson.

Mead's rock band, Frankie & The Actions, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a show at Hotel Charles in February.

Boston's is at 10440 O'Donnell Place, Waldorf.
