St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office 18th Annual Silent Angel Memorial honoring the victims of homicide from St. Mary's County.

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office hosts an annual tree lighting ceremony to ensure those we love and have lost will never be forgotten.

The ceremony is a symbol of hope for peace as family and friends gather to commemorate the victims they love dearly.  The central feature of the memorial is a tree containing a silent angel ornament that has been personally engraved with the names of victims of homicide.  The Silent Angels symbolize hope, goodness, purity, protection, comfort and consolation.
