St. Clement's Island Museum ** in Colton's Point, MD and Piney Point Lighthouse Museum and Historic Park in Piney Point, MD will open their doors free of charge to all Museum Day ticket-holders on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 10AM until 5PM as part of Smithsonian magazine’s annual Museum Day. Museum Day is a national celebration of boundless curiosity in which participating museums emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington DC-based museums. The event presents a nationwide commitment to access, equity and inclusion.
Museum Day tickets will be available for download at www.Smithsonian.com/museumday beginning August 15. Visitors who present a Museum Day ticket will gain free entrance for two at a participating venue of their choice on September 21, 2019. One ticket is permitted per email address and tickets may only be used at one location. Additional guests not included in the Museum Day ticketing will be charged regular admission rates. A list of participating museums, which will be continually updated as more museums continue to register, can be found at Smithsonian.com/museumday/search. **PLEASE NOTE: The free admission for Museum Day at St. Clement's Island Museum applies to just admission to the museum itself and not to water taxi rides to St. Clement's Island State Park. Interested visitors in the water taxi that day would need to pay an additional fee. Blackistone Lighthouse will be open for tours based on availability of volunteers.
