Back by popular demand! Phil McKenney will be at the Garvey Senior Activity Center for another great interactive music program.
By the late 1950’s, the Wild Men who had created Rock-n-Roll just a few years earlier had been pretty much wiped out either by their own excesses, by the powers that be who hated them, or by fate. A new group of clean-cut pop singers took over. They wore suits, skinny neckties, were non-threatening and controlled the record charts for the next several years. They were the Teen Idols, the second wave of rockers and this is their story!
The lunch menu for the day will be baked ham, green beans, tossed salad, WW dinner roll and a fruit cup. Cost for lunch is by donation for those ages 60 and above and $6 for those under the age of 60. To make reservations, call 301-475-4200, ext. 71050.
