For the third consecutive year, the Maryland Department of Commerce will lead a delegation to Information Security Europe 2019 in London, June 4-6. InfoSec attracts more than 19,500 industry professionals from around the world. Maryland’s delegation includes Baltimore Cyber Range, Captiva Solutions in Greenbelt, Carson & SAINT in Bethesda, Cybrary in College Park, Identity Checkpoint in Pasadena, ITnova in Glen Burnie and Penacity in Pasadena.

Following the conference, the delegation will spend one day in the Midlands region, a leading cybersecurity cluster in the U.K. In 2017, Maryland Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding with Midlands Engine to strengthen the relationship between Maryland and the Midlands region. Over the past two years, Maryland and Midlands Engine have built on the relationship established with the MOU, hosting cybersecurity businesses from the U.S. and the U.K. and making introductions to markets in each country.

The Maryland Department of Commerce stimulates private investment and creates jobs by attracting new businesses, encouraging the expansion and retention of existing companies and providing financial assistance to Maryland companies. For more information, visit commerce.maryland.gov.
