Moira Sullivan

Graduations

Dr. Kendall Smith of Accokeek will graduate from the University of Pennsylvania on May 17. He will receive a citizen citation from Councilman Sydney J. Harrison D-P.G. 9th) and Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) May 29 at the National Harbor. Smith is also a recipient of NIH research training.

Lakshmi Deepak Bandi of Leonardtown graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a doctor of philosophy in leadership.

Recognitions

Moira J. Sullivan of Waldorf was one of five finalists for the 47th annual Saint Vincent College President’s Award. A graduate of Saint Mary’s Ryken High School, Sullivan has been named to the dean’s list for each of the past seven semesters and has been named the recipient of the college’s Award for Academic Excellence in anthropology. Sullivan is also a Benedictine Leadership Studies Fellow and member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Alpha Chi honor societies and is also a member of the college’s student theater. She also holds a work-study position for the anthropology/sociology department and was part of a research team that examined student approaches to food and Saint Vincent College’s dining services. Upon graduation, Sullivan will attend graduate school at Monmouth University where she will pursue a master of arts in anthropology with a certificate in archaeology.

Ashley Collins of Prince Frederick was inducted into Pi Theta Epsilon, the occupational therapy academic honor society at Quinnipiac University.

Lindsey Behrman of California was inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Salisbury University

Zoe Behrman of California was inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Salisbury University
