The donation, which was supported by grant funds from the Charles County Charitable Trust and No Kid Hungry, will help fund more than 1,350 pantry bags, which can be used to make over 16,000 meals for school-aged children and their families. Since the Charles Regional Medical Center’s first donation to the food bank back in April, it has been able to provide approximately 20,000 meals to families in need during the pandemic.
