A La Plata woman was arrested at a La Plata motel last week after she was allegedly having sex with men in exchange for a place to stay.
Jennifer Ann Flynn, 42, of La Plata was charged with two counts of prostitution, two counts of sodomy, two counts of second-degree assault, second-degree assault to a police officer and malicious destruction of property.
On April 10 at about 2 p.m., officers with the La Plata Police Department responded to the 6700 block of Crain Highway in La Plata for the report of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers noticed a male and female arguing. An officer approached the victim, who said that he left his room at the Deluxe Inn because he noticed the woman staying with him, Flynn, was gone.
The victim told police that he saw Flynn walking out of another man’s room; he confronted her about it and Flynn stuck him with hair clippers. This is when the victim called 911 for assistance, according to charging documents.
An officer spoke with Flynn, who said that she had been having sex with the victim so that she would have a place to stay, which is also why she left his room and went to have sex with another man to have a place to stay later in the week, according to charging documents.
The officer read Flynn her rights and she proceeded to “beg” the officer to have sex with her and not to charge her, per charging documents.
The policeman attempted to arrest Flynn when she kicked him in both legs, and while inside the agency vehicle she attempted to kick him in the chest.
After Flynn was placed securely inside the vehicle, she kicked the interior of the door causing the window and door to bend out. The repair for the damage Flynn caused to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000, according to charging documents.
Flynn told officers that she had been having sex with men in exchange for a place to stay since she got into town from California. She said that what she was doing was not prostitution because she “loves to have sex,” according to the charging documents.
Flynn was arrested and taken to the Charles County Detention Center and is being held without bond as of April 12.
