Krystiann Brooks, a seventh grader at John Henson Middle School, left shares his discovery of static electricity with Jeffry Elias, an eighth grader at Henson Middle, during the Charles public school system's annual History, Industry, Technology and Science (HITS) on March 11 at St. Charles High School. In addition to the science and history projects, guests took part in demonstrations, presentations and activities, including creating a miniature skimmer or hovercraft and testing it in the hallways, STEAM art projects, shooting smoke circles using a vortex cannon and creating a model of DNA using candy.
