A 30-year-old Bowie man was arrested on Friday, Oct. 8, and charged in an early morning Sept. 30 shooting on Horsehead Road in Great Mills.

Deandre Marquise Robinson faces charges consisting of attempted first- and second-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault, along with five firearms charges.

Deputies arrived on scene at 12:44 a.m. on that Thursday and found a 33-year-old Lexington Park man suffering from several gunshot wounds, a press release states. The victim was transported by helicopter to an area trauma center.

Robinson was held without bond.

He had pleaded guilty to felony robbery and misdemeanor assault on July 21 stemming from an incident on Aug. 20, 2017. Robinson was sentenced to six years in jail with all suspended except for 1,054 days, and was ordered to pay $12,040 in restitution in that case.
