Calvert County received some sprucing up when more than 400 local Comcast NBCUniversal employees and their families, friends and community partners worked together during the 18th Annual Comcast Cares Day.
At Mill Creek Middle School, volunteers updated the baseball field, built benches, beautified the grounds, and wrote ‘Thank you’ notes for the teachers.
Others helped out at Dowell Elementary School with cleaning, mulching, planting flowers and sprucing up the memorial garden.
And in North Beach, volunteers planted and mulched the annual flowers along the waterfront and cleaned up areas along the marsh, wetland and beach areas and did other projects throughout the town.
Comcast Cares Day is a celebration of the company’s year-round commitment to volunteerism and service and an illustration of the significant impact we have when our employees, their friends and families, and our community partners come together to volunteer at more than a thousand projects around the world to make a lasting difference in the communities where we live, work and serve.
