St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team goalie Liam deLone-Bellsey, a junior from Takoma Park, makes a sliding save en route to being named the United East Conference Men’s Soccer defensive player of the week ending Sept. 12. The squad topped Dickinson College on Saturday 2-1 at home and then defeated Swathmore College 1-0 the following day before recording a 3-0 win at home over York College on Wednesday, taking their record to 6-0.

St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Soccer player Liam deLone-Belsey was named the United East Conference Men's Soccer defensive player of the week ending Sep. 12 as the Seahawks remained undefeated on the season courtesy of a 5-0 start.

The junior deLone-Belsey recorded five saves in a 2-1 victory over Dickinson College on Sep. 11 then turned away three shots the following day when the Seahawks blanked No. 16 Swarthmore College, 1-0. deLone-Belsey is currently tied for the conference lead with two shutouts and ranks third with a 0.50 goals allowed on average and fourth with a 0.87 save percentage.
